Book Cheap Train Tickets in the UK and Europe

To collect your tickets, please follow these steps:

Step 1: Go to a ticket machine and select the option to collect prepaid tickets.

Step 2: Insert the card you used to purchase your tickets (this card will not be charged).

Step 3: Enter your ticket collection reference (you can find it in "My Bookings" in the TrainPal app or in your confirmation email).

Step 4: On the machine, tap the option to print your tickets.

You can generally reserve seats for free before you pay, but seats are allocated based on seating capacity and cannot be guaranteed. Some train operators do not allow passengers to reserve seats. For information about all train companies, please visit the National Rail. Even if no seats have been reserved for you, your ticket will still be valid and you can sit in any unoccupied seat.

Once you complete payment and your tickets have been issued, you cannot reserve or change your seat.

To refund your tickets, please follow these steps:

Step 1: Find the booking you want to cancel in "My Bookings" on our website.

Step 2: Click on "Manage My Bookings", select "Refund Ticket", then click on "Request Refund". It should take an average of 3–5 days to process your refund.

Step 3: You can check the refund status in your corporate account.

If your train is delayed and you still decide to travel, you may be entitled to compensation. The amount of compensation you can claim depends on the operator you travelled with. However, if you do decide to travel, you won't be able to refund your tickets. If your train is delayed and you haven't used your ticket, you can request a refund as you would if the train was cancelled.

Seats cannot be changed once your tickets have been issued. If you're already on the train, we suggest asking the train conductor whether it's possible to change seats. Please note that you need to pay a fee to upgrade your seat.

Advance tickets:

Advance tickets can be changed within 15 minutes before the departure of the first train, though a processing fee may be required. You'll also need to pay any fare difference.

Off-peak, Super Off-peak, and Anytime tickets (Flexible tickets):

Flexible tickets are refundable. You can request a refund in the TrainPal app by going to "My Bookings" > "Refund".

(1) If you still decide to travel, we recommend asking staff at the station for guidance. In most cases, you'll be able to take the next train to your destination.

(2) If you decide not to travel, you'll be entitled to a full refund. Go to "My Bookings", select "Refund" and choose train cancellation as the reason for the refund. Tickets are refundable within 28 days after the ticket expiry date.

(1) You could book two separate tickets for the same journey, and save a significant amount of money.

(2) If you book split tickets for the same journey, your travel experience using split tickets will be the same as if you had purchased a regular "straight-through" train ticket.

If you book split tickets for flexible journeys, you might have to check and follow the stops that are displayed when you book the tickets.

(3) Split tickets are valid for Railcards and advance tickets.
